Anonymous Posting
Anonymous posting is making changes to this wiki without logging into
a user account. Anonymous posting is perfectly OK,
but you may want to be aware of a few issues.
- Anonymous posts (and guest posts for that matter) are subject to
review by wiki members before becoming a permanent change to the page.
This is due to the high level of spam being thrown at wikis every day.
- If you post from an IP address that has previously sent spam, then
there is a good chance that your anonymous post will automatically be
treated as spam as well.
- If you post from an IP address that does not support a reverse DNS lookup,
there is a strong possibility that your changes will automatically be treated
as spam. A very high percentage of spam comes from such addresses.
Registering as a Guest
The easiest way to avoid these problems is to
register
for a guest account.
Although guest postings are still reviewed, after
3 approved postings,
guest accounts are automatically upgraded to full
member accounts.
Registering is easy and just takes a few seconds.
